SAMBA, Mar 4: On the basis of specific inputs, DMO Samba along with his team laid a Naka and apprehended vehicles involved in illegal mining. A JCB was seized and handed over to Samba police till the realisation of the penalty amount by the defaulter.
Meanwhile, the DMO also visited mining blocks of Samba early in the morning to check challans and ensure sale of minor minerals as per notified rates. He requested the general public to carry minor minerals along with e-challans only as the same are for the convenience of the general public and to check overpricing and illegal mining.
He further stressed that anyone found involved in tempering of e-challan or misuse of e-challans will be booked and FIR will be registered.
