JAMMU, Dec 17: In order to review the poll preparedness of district Jammu which is going to poll on December 20, Divisional Commissioner, Shantmanu, chaired a high level meeting with the concerned officers.
Divisional Commissioner reviewed in detail the election arrangements in the district, which included security related issues, transport plan, communication plan and coordination among different executing agencies, for ensuring free, fair, smooth and trouble- free conduct of elections. He also directed the officers to gear up their filed functionaries to ensure smooth conduct of last phase of elections.
Among others, the meeting was attended by IGP, Jammu, Rajesh Kumar, Senior Superintendent of Police Jammu, Uttam Chand, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Ajeet Kumar Sahu, Additional District Development Commissioner, G N Balwan, Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Kalyan Singh, besides other senior officers were also present in the meeting.
IGP Jammu Rajesh Kumar also interacted with officers and emphasized on adhering to security grid and procedures, while staying extra vigilant.
Earlier, District Election Officer (Deputy Commissioner) Jammu, Ajeet Kumar Sahu gave a detailed account of the activities and preparations of the District regarding Communication plan, Training Management Plan, Material Management Plan, MCC, Transport Plan and Expenditure Monitoring. The meeting was also informed about training of polling personnel, appointment and training of sector and zonal magistrates, randomization of polling personnel and EVMs, web casting/videography of Hypersensitive/ Critical polling stations and basic minimum facilities at polling stations.
