SRINAGAR, Sept 10: Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon today travelled by train from Nowgam to Banihal and also took stock of facilities being provided to the passengers.
The Divisional Commis-sioner was accompanied by Chief Area Manager Northern Railways, Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Joint Director Information Kashmir, S.P Railways, Sub-Divisional Magistrates of Kokernag & Verinag besides other officials.
The Divisional Commis-sioner reviewed toilet, parking, and issuance of tickets among other facilities, and directed the concerned to take measures to improve these facilities. He said that a large number of passengers travel by train because of low cost of tickets and less travel time, that saves them money and time. He interacted with the passengers at various stations and enquired about the facilities being provided to them.
