JAMMU, Jan 13: Divisional Commissioner Jammu Shantmanu convened a meeting here today to review the arrangements and facilities being provided to devotees at Shri Mata Sukrala Devi Ji Shrine and Shri Mata Bala Sundari Shrine.
On the occasion, Div Com reviewed the decisions taken during the preliminary meeting. It was decided that some immediate concrete steps ought to be taken to create better facilities for the devotees who throng the shrines throughout the year. In this regard, a committee under the supervision of District Development Commissioner Kathua, who is also Vice Chairman of the Committee, was constituted with Executive Officer, Assistant CEO SMVDSB and Dr Narinder Vaid-Member of the Board as its members to submit a panel of retired persons for selection as full time manager and other managerial staff required for running affairs of the board efficiently with in a period of 15 days.
Further, CCTV Cameras will be installed immediately at the shrine of Mata Sukrala Devi ji for surveillance of the place, existing toilets will be renovated and a place will also be identified by the board members for construction of new toilets for the convenience of yatries, financial delegation was made for operating Rs. 1 lakh by the Executive Officer, Rs. 5 lakh by the Vice Chairman per month to make different types of expenses of the board.
The Chairman of the board will have no limits in transaction of money as decided by the board, prefabricated structure office of the Board will be erected at Sukrala with in a period of one month to facilitate the employees of the Board besides private security will also be hired to keep monitoring of the offerings being made at the shrine, private counsel will be engaged by board to file objections in the High Court in the writ filed by baridars of Mata Sukrala and Tourism sarai of Tourism Department will be transferred by the Director Tourism to Shrine Board for establishment of the office of the board at Billawar. Director Tourism will also put up the logo of the board in its next meeting.
It was resolved that strenuous efforts will be made to create better facilities for the devotees coming to shrine and more awareness will be made about the shrine of Mata Sukrala and Mata Sundari to attract maximum yatries in the coming time.
The meeting was attended by Jitendra Kumar Singh, Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Soujanya Sharma, Director Tourism, Deep Raj SDM Billawar, Anil Sharma Assistant CEO SMVSB, Dr. Sham Lal Gupta, Dr, Narinder Vaid, Zorawar Singh and Pawan Shastri all members of the board.
