JAMMU, Oct 4: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Shantmanu, today reviewed arrangements for this year’s Darbar move to winter capital, at a high level meeting of senior officers of various departments.
The meeting was attended by DIG Jammu Shakeel Beig, Chief Engineer PHE K. K. Gupta, Commissioner JMC Kiran Wattal, Director Health Services Dr. B. S. Pathania, Joint Director Information Jammu Smita Sethi, ADC Jammu K. S. Parihar, SP Security Mahmood Ahmed, ARTO Kuldeep Singh, SE PWD, SE PDD and other senior officers of concerned departments.
Shantmanu enjoined upon the officers to complete the entire repair, renovation and other maintenance works being done in Jammu Secretariat before opening of the offices so that all the departments could function in a hassle free manner. He also called for completion of repair and renovation works of residential quarters for move employees at various locations.
Divisional Commissioner directed the concerned officers to ensure availability of the essentials like adequate water supply, medicare facilities and LPG supply besides un-interrupted power supply.
The PWD authorities were directed to ensure all necessary repairs of roads well before the move for smooth flow of traffic. The Municipal authorities were asked to ensure cleanliness in and around Civil Secretariat.
The Deputy Director Estates informed about the progress of various works being executed in the Secretariat and other residential quarters.
Shantmanu directed the executing agencies to keep their activities at maximum to complete the works in a stipulated time frame. He also directed JKSRTC authorities to make proper arrangements of transport facility.
Later, the Divisional Commissioner took stock of arrangements for ensuing 9-day festival organized every year in the holy town Katra on the eve of Navratras besides reviewing facilities for Eid festival.
