SRINAGAR, Feb 15: To review the implementation of the decisions taken by the Lieutenant Governor in recently held meeting, the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan today chaired a meeting to review Action Taken Reports (ATR) from Deputy Commissioners and other concerned officers.
Threadbare discussion was held regarding Kissan Credit Card, Ayushman Bharat, Languishing Projects, Single Use Plastic, Pre & Post Scholarships, Grievance Redressal Mechanism, Back to Village, Crop damage Compensation, Audit of Hospitals, Development of Sports Facilities, Installation of CCTVs in all Educational Institutions, Development of Border Areas, Social Welfare Schemes and District Salary Audits in the meeting.
To stop the use of Single Use of Plastics, the Divisional Commissioner directed DCs to install check posts along the roads leading to districts to curb the menace effectively.
He asked Deputy Commissioners to maintain a register for effective grievance redressal. He said that every officer should tour the district to redress the grievances.
Div Com said that DCs should identify suitable land for development of Play Grounds for the Panchayats which lack sports facilities.
Regarding installation of CCTV cameras in Educational Institutions as ordered by the Supreme Court, he directed the DCs to ensure installation in a time bound manner.
Besides, DCs were asked to conduct surprise inspection of hospitals and to ensure punctuality of doctors and paramedical staff, besides checking food quality in hospital canteens on regular basis.
The meeting was informed that welfare schemes will be rolled out for border districts for the upliftment and development of border areas besides, construction work on community bunkers will also be started soon.
Regarding Languishing Projects, Khan directed executing agencies to remove all bottlenecks and complete the works in a stipulated time frame.
The Divisional Commissioner also reviewed the progress of Kissan Credit Card, Ayushman Bharat, Back to Village schemes, crop damage compensation to affected orchardists and District Salary Audits of the government employees.
