Div Com Ladakh chairs review meeting of Revenue Deptt

Kargil, Dec 8: Divisional Commissioner UT Ladakh, Saugat Biswas chaired a review meeting of Revenue Department Kargil at Conference Hall, Baroo in Kargil.
Deputy Commissioner/ CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve, Deputy Secretary to Divisional Commissioner Ladakh, Rigzin Spalgon, ADC Kargil Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Wani, SDMs of all sub-divisions, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars besides other concerned officers of Revenue Department were present during the meeting.
During the meeting, the Divisional Commissioner took a detailed status of writing of Jamabandis and Girdawari, attestation of mutations, land acquisition, vacancy of posts, removal of encroachments of Common Kharchari Land and other public issues.
Regarding vacant posts of Patwaris, Biswas was informed that 25 vacant posts of Patwaris have been advertised. While taking the assessment of Nambardars in the district, the Divisional Commissioner directed to update about vacancies of the Nambardars at the earliest.
He further directed to assess infrastructure and other improvements regarding Patwar Khanas, Nayabats, Tehsil and SDM offices and forward a proposal in this regard for necessary funding.
While reviewing the status of writing of Jamabandi in the district, Biswas was informed that there are nine Jamabandis that were pending and are in process of completion.
He directed the concerned officers to clear all the Jamabandi works by December 31, 2022, except in the villages of Zanskar sub-division and Sanjak village, which were given time period up to ending January and ending February respectively.
While reviewing the status of removal of encroachments of UT/Common Kahcharai land, Biswas directed the concerned officers to furnish the details of encroachments on State land at the earliest. He further directed DC Kargil to set targets for its removal from the encroachers. He also impressed upon the SDMs and Tehsildars to remove encroachments from State land and directed them to keep a close vigil on the encroachments.
