KATHUA, July 3: Divisional Commissioner Jammu Pradeep Gupta conducted an extensive tour of Samba and Kathua to inspect the various Government offices included Emergency Hospital Vijaypur, District Hospital Samba, PHC Ghagwal, SDH Hiranagar, BDO office Ghagwal and Hiranagar, Police stations of Vijaypur and Hiranagar. He also inspected the langar sites for Amaranth pilgrims at Dwarkapuri (Vijaypur) and Chichi mata.
During the inspection of hospitals, Div Com took stock of the facilities being provided to the patients like availability of medicines, OPD services, staff position etc. He also enquired about the status of progress on the new buildings being built within the premises of District Hospital Samba and PHC Ghagwal.
While interacting with the patients, he also took feedback about the services being provided to them and also checked the cleanliness and hygiene in the hospitals.
Earlier, he took stock of MGNREGA scheme at the Block Development Offices of Ghagwal and Hiranagar. He enquired about the number of job cards issued and mandays generated under the scheme. He discussed with concerned BDOs in detail the status of the empowering of the panchayats in their respective blocks.
He also discussed about the rejuvenation of the water bodies in block Ghagwal.At police stations, the Div Comm took stock of the pendencies in FIRs, crime position, cleanliness, and accommodation to the police personnel.He also inspected the langar sites and interacted with the pilgrims and enquired about the food being served.
He was accompanied by ADC Samba Bikram Singh Jamwal, Tehsildar Vijaypur Avtar Singh Jasrotia and revenue officers of Tehsil Hiranagar.
