SAMBA, Aug 23:  All India Backward Classes Union  held a day long convention of  district Samba under the leadership of  districts president Rajinder Singh.
The convention was attended by AIBCU State  president  Abdul Majid Malik along with his team of central committee members and others.
A thread bare discussion was held  during the programme and the speakers observed that  BJP-PDP coalition has  left the agenda of the State OBC’s due share as per Apex Court’s Judgment of 1992 on Mandal Report.
They lambasted the BJP for its alleged betrayal to the State OBCs by not taking up the issue of implementation of  Mandal Report in J&K despite promising the same during Lok Sabha  and  Assembly elections. Instead of Sabka Saath, Sabka Saath, the party is  busy now in Vikaas (development ) of upper castes only as this was clear during the nomination of MLCs, they alleged. BJP-PDP coalition is behaving like previous NC–Congress Govt which kept the State OBCs deprived of their due share of 27 percent  reservation for the past 24 years, they added.
The AIBCLU lamented that Social Welfare Ministry has not enhanced  the creamy layer from income group Rs 4.5 lac to Rs 6 lacs even as the same has already been done  by the Central Government  about 3 years back.
Those who shared their views, included  Dr Ajit Kumar,  Rajinder Singh, Rajinder Kashyap, Puram Chargotra, Master Sain Dass, Bharat Bhushan, Girdhari Lal, Hans Raj Verma, Barkat Singh, Mir Chand, Bua Ditta, T R  Changotra, Jagdish Raj, Bua Ditt Verma, Bodh Raj Dogra,  Brij Mehra, Darshan Kumar,   Ramesh Kumar, Raj Kumar, Col Som Nath, Principal Anchal Singh, Capt Janak Raj, Prof Kali Dass and others.
