JAMMU, Apr 17: Distribution of ration and essential items continued in various parts of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
To ensure the safety of all the frontline workers, District Social Welfare Officer Kishtwar (Nodal Officer for Employees Welfare) Tariq Parvez Qazi on the directions of District Magistrate Kishtwar Rajinder Singh Tara distributed hand sanitizers to all frontline workers and other officials of health, police and Army deployed at Thathri checkpoint. Duty Magistrate Thathri, checkpoint Mohammad Ehsan Zargar, designated Medical Officer Dr Yawar Hussain among others were present on the occasion.
Former MLA Bhaderwah Daleep Singh Parihar distributed free ration and essential items kits along with face masks to the poor and the needy people in Sindra area of Bhaderwah.
Former MLA and senior Congress leader Ashok Kumar distributed free ration to the unprivileged families in Maitra town of Ramban.
Sufficient packets of ration were handed over to District Administration Udhampur by Sant Nirankari Mandal Udhampur Zone, J&K for distribution among needy families. Rattan Lal Sanyojak Branch Udhampur and Dr Vinod along with all missionaries were present on the occasion. Many other branches of Udhampur Zone are also distributing ration to the needy in their respective areas under the supervision of Local Mukhies and Manohar Lal, Kheteriya Sanchalak.
Ghagwal administration distributed ration to help the poor and needy people. On the occasion, SDM Ghagwal Ramkesh Sharma, Tehsildar Ghagwal Harjit Singh, and the Station In-Charge Ghagwal Sudhir Sadotra were also present.
SHO Ramgarh Inspector Chaman Gorkha along with his team distributed the ration among the 51 needy families in village Gudwal area of Ramgarh.
AISF with the help of District Administration distributed masks and ration to the public of Panchayat Malwana East. Block Development Chairman Sarshad Natnoo, Tehsildar Gundna Himmat Sharma, Sarpanch Malwana East Habeeb Mala, Panches of wards, Mukesh Parihar Former State President and leader of AISF J&K, AISF District President Sulinder Parihar Sarazi, District General Secretary Rajkumar Parihar and general public were present on the occasion.
Former Member Legislative Council (MLC) Vikram Randhawa distributed dry ration among the local needy families of village Langer in Gandhi Nagar assembly segment. Others present on the occasion include Mandeep Choudhary, Darshan Grover, Capt Jameet Singh, Ramesh Kumar, etc.
General Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Youth Congress (JKPYC) Ricky Dalotra offered cup of tea to JKP and Para Military personnel at different locations of the Jammu.
District Administration Ramban along with SHO Dharamkund Inspector Vijay Kotwal and volunteers of Civil QRT Ramban handed over ration and masks to the needy families at Panchayat Sumber A and B.
187 Battalion CRPF Udhampur distributed sanitary items to needy person of the Tikri area of district Udhampur. Block Development Chairman Tikri, Block Development Officer, Incharge Police Post, Sarpanch of Tikri block and many others were present on the occasion.
MD Banday Memorial Society Poonch led by its General Secretary Er Saleem Bandey visited border village Gagrian and adjoining hamlets in Tehsil Mandi and distributed dry food kits and masks among the needy people. Ajit Singh, Karnesh Kumar, Ghulam Nabi Malik, Kuljit Singh, Basharat Banday, Imran Hussain, Jagjit Singh, Tanvir Bandey, Azeem Bandey and Sajid Imtiaz were among others present on the occasion.
Zanskar Health and Care and Sowarigpa Research Institute (ZHCSRRI) which is a voluntary health organization funded by Dalai Lama Trust has started free distribution of homemade face masks among the needy people of Zanskar Sub Division. In the first phase of distribution, 650 face masks have been distributed free of cost among the people of Panchayat Zangla. Block Medical Officer (BMO) Zanskar was also present on the occasion.
