JAMMU, May 13: Distribution of ration and essential items among needy persons continued here today.
Advocate Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor JMC distributed essential food supplies to the needy families of Ward Number 1. Rajesh Gupta Ex MLA Jammu East, Parveen Kerni Mandal President, Karan Singh, Suresh Bharti Mandal Secretary East, Ved Prakash Padha Mandal Office Secretary, Gopal Sanotra Mandal Office Secretary, Sunita Wazir Mahila Morcha Mandal General Secretary, Shubh Lata Sharma, Vijay Kumar Sharma Booth Number 3 President, Ward Number 1 and other prominent members of the ward were also present.
Rekha Mahajan, Secretary, BJP Jammu and Kashmir distributed face covers among the parents visiting Public Health Centre, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu for the immunisation of their children and also to other patients. She was accompanied by Poonam Gupta, Additional IT and Social Media Incharge and Divya Jain, District Secretary, Mahila Morcha.
Muzaffar Parray District President Youth Congress Ganderbal distributed food kits and masks in various areas of Kangan including Akhaal, Cherwan, Bonibagh, Barwullah, Prang, etc.
Neeraj Choudhary President DYC Jammu Rural distributed dry ration to 20 needy families.
Third Eye Anti Crime Team distributed ration material at Village Sultanpur. Chairman of the organization Sham Lal Gupta, Panch Sheetal Kumari from Village Sultanpur, Councillor Sahil Gupta of Municipal Committee Bishnah, Sansar Chand, Rajesh Kumar, Tushar Digra, Neha Mehra, Ravi Kumar and many others were present on the occasion.
Trilokpur Booth and Udheywal Booth of Kheer Bhawani Mandal of BJP Kashmir Displaced District distributed ration and other essential items among poor and needy people in Anand Nagar, Akalpur and Lower Muthi areas under the supervision of TN Bhat President BJP KDD and Vinod Pandita General Secretary BJP KDD. RSS Swayamsevaks distributed 6000 packets of Kahda in the areas of Roop Nagar, Rehari, Talab Tillo, Pounichack, Dogra Nagar, Sarwal, Purani Mandi, Peer Mitha, Bawe, Narwal, Channi, Trikuta Nagar, Sainik Colony and Greater Kailash.
Team of Indian Red Cross Society under the supervision of Secretary IRCS Vinod Malhotra distributed ration and other food items among 140 poor and needy families of Surechak, Phallian Mandal, Bahu Fort, Mahinder Nagar Extension and adjoining areas.
Beopar Mandal Udhampur under the chairmanship of its President Jitender Bermani distributed dry ration in Christian Colony and village Rethain. Office bearers of BMU were also present on the occasion.
J&K cricketer Raman Thaploo distributed vegetables to the needy persons of Ward Number 59 of Paloura Jammu.
