JAMMU, May 6: Distribution of ration and essential items among the needy people continued here today.
An initiative taken by the residents of Vishal Nagar, Ward 40 is helping in feeding the needy migrant labourers from various parts of the country during Langar Seva. More than 100 people are provided with cooked food. Former State President BJP and Ex MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma distributed the food amongst people and hailed the humanitarian approach of organizer Sanjay Mahajan, a social activist and his team who initiated the Langar Seva since the Lockdown was started. District General Secretary Rajesh Gupta, Satyabhushan Dubey, Bawa Gupta, Abhishek Sharma, Rohit Sharma, Rahul Raina, Ankush Kumar, Suraj Prakash and many others were present on the occasion.
Relief camp was organized jointly by GGF J&K and GPF Jammu where the Gandhian organisations distributed fresh vegetables and dry ration among 130 needy migrant labour families in Jammu City at four locations. The relief material was distributed among needy families in presence of GGF President J&K Padmashri Dr S P Varma at Mubarak Mandi, Kachi Chawni, Bhagwati Nagar and Mohalla Ustad of Jammu city. Fresh vegetables were distributed among 50 labourer families at Bhagwati Nagar, 40 labourer families at Mubarak Mandi and 10 needy families of Kachi Chawani, all identified by J&K Police. DySP Albeena Malik, Magistrate Jammu Mohammad Salim, Er KK Mattoo GGF Advisor and Former Chief Engineer PWD J&K Government, Dr Prem Sharma GGF member, Ex SP Mohammad Aslam Malik GGF Advisor Jammu, Jaswinder Singh GGF Advisor Jammu City, Parminder Singh GGF Executive Jammu, Mohammad Farooq Mughal GGF Founding Member, Choudhary Showkat Ali, Amit Varma, Ragav Changotra and Ankush Varma distributed the relief material.
SPDO Akhnoor Ajay Sharma along with SHO Akhnoor Inspector Pardeep Sharma under the supervision of SP Rural Suram Singh and in consultation with ACR Jammu arranged ration for 10 families (snake charmers from Punjab) comprising of 60 souls living in Devipur area of Akhnoor Town.
Acting on the directions given by Braham Jyot Satti President BJP OBC Morcha JK-UT, Naresh Kumar District President OBC Morcha, Reasi distributed dry ration and 100 face covers in Teerti Trod village of Reasi. Poli Devi Panch, Anil Kumar and Amit Prajapati and many others were present on the occasion.
Third Eye Anti Crime team distributes ration material at Village Tindey Khurd. Chairman of the organization Sham Lal Gupta, Councillor of Municipal Committee Bishnah Sahil Gupta, members of the organization namely Sansar Chand, Rajesh Kumar, Tushar Digra and Neha Mehra were present on the occasion.
RSS Swayamsevaks distributed 250 ration kits in New Plot, Sarwal, Patoli Mangotrian, Durga Nagar, Channi and Narwal. A community kitchen is also being run by Swayamsevaks for the needy people at Nai Basti.
Uday Chib JKPYC President distributed sanitizers, masks and juices to 60 families in Paloura area of Jammu.
Ramgarh Police led by SHO Inspector Chaman Gorkha distributed dry ration among ten slum dwellers families at Main Bazaar Ramgarh in District Samba.
SHO RS Pura Inspector Jai Paul Sharma alongwith SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan and SDM distributed food packets to the farmers at International Border.
Under the leadership of President BJP KDD TN Bhat, Vice President Bharat Bhushan Gosani, Makhan Lal, Social Worker Veer Ji Pandita, President BJYM KDD Rahul Kaul along with members of Durga Mandal and Surya Booth Paloura distributed dry ration packets to almost 50 needy families in Janipur area of Ward Number 38). Councillor Ward Number 38 Surinder Sharma, Councillor MC Mattan Sunny Tickoo, Ravinder Bhat Sarpanch, Social Media Secretary Ayush Bhat, Durga Mandal President RK Raina, Vice President Sanjay Bhat, Roshan Lal, General Secretary Durga Mandal VN Raina, BJYM KDD workers Nitin, Aditya Pandita, Rahul Pandita and Sachin Ambardar were also present.
