JAMMU, May 1: Distribution of ration and essential items among the needy persons continued here today.
Gandhi Global Family J&K distributed dry ration among 35 local vulnerable families of Resham Ghar. GGF door to door relief distribution kick start by GGF President J&K Padmashri Dr S P Varma and GGF Advisor and former Chief Engineer PWD J&K Govt Er KK Mattoo at Resham Ghar, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu. Jaswinder Singh Kuku GGF Advisor Jammu City, Rama Corporator, Adil Chaudhary, RS Baloria former BDO, Dr Prem Sharma, S K Vaid, Mr Puri, Raj Kumar Kalsotra, Amit Varma, Sanjeev Kohli, Ragav Changotra and Ankush Varma distributed the material among needy families identified by Social activist Baldir Kumar of Resham Ghar.
Bank of India, Jammu Center, Amritsar Zone under NBG North-I continued its drive to distribute dry ration to needy and distressed people. The drive was carried out this time in Jeevan Nagar and Digiana Digiana. Chief Manager Satwari Branch Puneet Gupta, General Manager NBG North 1 Salil Kumar Swain, Zonal Manager Vasudev, Deputy Zonal Manager Kewal Kumar Garg, Harish Khurana, PRO, NBG North-I, Kunal Dogra Senior Branch Jammu Branch, Janak Raj Branch Manager Gangyal, Abhey Mahajan, Credit Manager, Sumeet Sharma and Anita Chand Puri social activist were also present on the occasion.
Team Jammu today distributed door to door dry ration to majority of local populace that included people working in malls, shops, restaurants, families of drivers, conductors, auto rickshaw pliers, women working as maid in houses besides local labourers. Chairman Team Jammu, Zorawar Singh Jamwal, SHO Janipur Inspector Naresh Sharma were among others present on the occasion.
‘The-Sara’ team led by its Director Dr Raminder Jit Singh distributed Ramazan Kits among 15 needy families of migrant Muslim labourers in Beli Charana Jammu.
AYC Reasi President Neha Bhagat distributed masks and ration among the needy people.
Team Brahaman Sabha Rajouri under the chairmanship of its President Kapil Saryal along with Sarpanch Sanjeev Mangu distributed food items and masks to the needy people. Rohit Sasan Raja Vice President Brahaman Sabha and many more youth of the sabha were present on the occasion.
Jammu based educationist Rupesh Masson has started producing face shields on large bases. Rupesh said he is donating these face shield in Jammu in collaboration with UCMAS ABACUS J&K till he has resources available for same. Dharam Jagran Samn-vay and Sama-jik Samrastra Wing of Rash-triya Swayam Sewak Sangh distributed ration kits among sanitation staff at Dina Nath Memorial Hall Samba. Dharam Jagran District Cordinator Suraj, Tribhuwan Zila Karwah RSS and Vipul Vaid of Samajik Samrasta were also present on the occasion.
Ramgarh Police led by SHO Inspector Chaman Gorkha and his team distributed the dry ration among the 35 families at village Rajwal in District samba.
District Administration in collaboration with Jai Baba Shivo Shrine Board Development Committee Goran distributed free 100 ration kits and relief material among the drivers and cleaners of unorganized sector in district Samba. During the distribution, Additional Deputy Commissioner Samba Vikas Gupta, Assistant Road Transport Officer Rehana Tabassum, Tehsildar Samba Avtar Jasrotia, President of Jai Baba Shivo Shrine Dev Raj besides other official and representatives of Board were also present.
Staff of DPS Jammu reached out to more than 300 members of the J&K Police and CRPF forces and distributed masks and hand sanitizers among them. Team DPS Jammu led by Karandeep Singh, RC Gupta, Saniya, Sangeet Chugh and Anu Bali distributed face masks and hand sanitizers at Police Chowki, Residency Road Jammu, Police Station Peer Mitha, Police Station City Jammu, Shalamar Chowk, City Chowk, and at various places in Jammu.
BJP OBC Morcha JK UT distributed ration and 100 face covers in Rani Talab Digiana area. Braham Jyot Satti President OBC Morcha JK UT, Anil Balgotra District President OBC Morcha Jammu, Tarun Kumar UT Secretary OBC Morcha and many others were present on the occasion.
RSS Sawayamsevaks distributed dry ration to 400 families at various places in the city like Laxmi Puran, Chinore, Durga Nagar, Dream City, Trikuta Nagar Sectors 6, 7 and 8, Deeli and Shastri Nagar. Besides distribution of dry ration nearly eight hundred people are provided cooked food daily from the community kitchen run by the sawayamsevaks at Nai Basti.
District President of Jammu and Kashmir Ex-Services League District Udhampur Dalbir Singh, Former District Secretary Rajinder Kumar Sharma with the collaboration of Colonel Mohan Gupta distribution ration to some needy people of Ward Number 5, Mohalla Barrian, Udhampur.
Municipal Councillor Ward Number 10 Anil Arora with the contribution of Union Church distributed ration to 60 families of his ward.
Youth Brigade Welfare Society Reasi provided sanitation items such as soaps, sanitizers, hand washes, gloves, face masks to needy families living in slum area in Jyotipuram.
150 high quality reusable clothes facemasks and tetrapacks of juices were distributed by Ajab Singh, Executive Member and Vishavjeet Singh volunteer of We The Human Forum for Nature and Mankind among police personnel at various Police Check Posts in Jammu viz Satwari Chowk, Rani Bagh, Inidra Nagar Miran Sahib, Gandhi Nagar, Asia Hotel, Bikram Chowk, Jewel Chowk, Mahesh, Shakti Nagar near Pawan Ice Cream, Canal Head, Baghwati Nagar, Fourth Bridge both sides and Police Post Beli Charana. At Udhampur, free ration was distributed by Sukhdev Singh, Executive Member of “We The Human” among 15 families in Manwal and Mansar.
Baldev Singh Billawaria, Chairman Health Sanitation Committee of Jammu Municipal Corporation distributed ration among needy families of Gandhi Nagar Constituency in various areas of Babliana Panc-hayat including Ward number 55 Langar, Kunjwani and Sector 2 Extension of Ward 56, Bandurakh etc. Billawaria was accompanied by BJP Satwari Mandal President Bharat Bhushan, Kisan Morcha State Vice President Harbans Choudhary, Ward 56 President Ranjit Singh, Mulkh Raj and Surjeet Kumar.
Helpage India Jammu Team distributed ration among the needy family at village Dammi in Jagti area of Jammu.
Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Vinod Malhotra, along with staff today distributed ration and other food items among 115 poor and needy families of Gummat and Narwal behind Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji Gurudwara, Jammu.
SSP Jammu Sridhar Patil visited Satwari area and interacted with the labourers from outside J&K. SSP distributed dry ration and other eatables among them. The gift packs comprising of juice packets, chocolates, nuts and biscuits were also distributed among their children.
