JAMMU, July 17: The Jammu and Kashmir Border Area Development Conference (JK-BADC), an organization working for the welfare of residents of border areas of J&K has slammed the role of recruitment agencies/units of J&K including Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) and J&K Services Selection Board (JKSSB), as both these entities have lost their credibility and trust among people.
BADC demanded that for restoration of people’s trust, the government should immediately dissolve these bodies and constitute an impartial and autonomous institution that conduct all kinds of exams, tests and interviews for government jobs in time bound manner.
Dr Shazad Ahmed Malik, Chairman of the BADC and former Vice Chancellor also criticized the role of JKPSC and JKSSB and said that during the last 3- 4 years, these recruitment bodies have done everything other than completing their original task of conducting exams in a fair and transparent manner. He said that both these institutions does not follow any time line for completing the process of recruitment that are forwarded to them by other departments.
The former VC informed that tens of thousand posts are lying vacant in different government departments and thousands of them have already been forwarded by the concerned departments to JKSSB and JKPSC for conducting recruitment but for the reason better known to the people at the helm of these institutions, they deliberately take such decisions to create controversy and ultimately the educated youth suffer who then have to either come on roads to seek justice or knock the doors of court and both ways they loose their precious years of youthfulness.
