JAMMU, Sept 11: A protest demonstration was held under the banner of Displaced Pandit Youth Forum demanding immediate release of selection lists of advertisement notification number 1 of 2012 under Prime Minister’s employment package for Kashmiri migrants.
The protesting migrants shouting slogans in support of their demands made an appeal to Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh and Chairperson of J&K Service Selection Recruitment Board (SSRB) to release the selection list of teachers, social workers, lab assistants, lab technicians, junior librarians, data entry operators, EDP supervisors and receptionist immediately.
They said over 3000 candidates have qualified the written tests and appeared in interviews later. They have fulfilled all the formalities as asked by the SSRB but the selection list is pending for last four years which has generated a lot of resentment among the displaced youth. They said the delay in implementation of PM’s employment package has already spoiled the career of the hundreds of displaced youth.
The protestors said that they have met several times Law Minster, Revenue Minister, Chief Secretary, Chairperson of SSRB and Relief Commissioner but to no avail as no steps were taken in releasing the list by them.
They said the youth are in total desperation as some of them have already crossed the age limit while others are at the verge of overage. They said the package was already delayed by some mischief mongers for their vested interests and SSRB was also involved in it as it too wants to spoil the future of the displaced youth.
The protesting youth made it clear that they are ready to serve in Kashmir and will not hesitate in joining their services in Valley.
Deepak Jad, Ashwani Mantoo, G P Singh, Deepak Pandita , Vikram Mawa and others addressed the protestors.
