SRINAGAR, Sept 3: Prof. Omer Javed Shah, Director SKIMS, Soura, met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan here today.
Prof. Shah briefed Governor about the functioning of the various specialties in the Institute. He discussed the plans for its future growth, particularly the infrastructural development.
Governor advised Prof. Shah to attract the best talent, and maintain quality teaching and research in this premier institute of health care. He urged for providing quality health care services to people.
Hafiz Usman, State Information Commissioner of Uttar Pradesh also met Governor.
Governor discussed with Usman possible measures which could be pursued to introduce significantly increased accountability of the administrative apparatus and promptitude, efficiency and visible transparency in the functioning of all institutions, particularly the public delivery system.
Sheikh Abdul Rehman, former Member Parliament, met Governor and discussed about range of issues relating to growth and development of the country.
