JAMMU, Mar 4: Dr Mohan Singh, Director, Indian System of Medicine and Homoeopathy J&K (AYUSH) chaired a meeting of officers at conference hall of the office at Jammu to review the functioning of Homoeopathy System of Medicine in J&K.
In the meeting threadbare discussion were held and it was decided that Homoeopathic system should be fully emphasized in the public domain so that the alternative treatment shall be available as optional health care through Homoeopathic in J&K. The grievances of Homoeopathy fraternities were also discussed.
The Medical officers of Homoeopathy in Jammu Division were directed to strictly practice own system of medicine, ensure full functioning of Homoeopathy Medical units in J&K, to achieve target and the goal of health care delivery through Homoeopathy in public domain and conduct training of Homoeopathic pharmacist at the pattern of ISM
The meeting also discussed a proposal for reduction/shifting of one post from district hospital to community health centre for further plan of expansion and propagation of Homoeopathic stream, besides authorizing concerned DDOs for purchase of Homoeopathic medicine, release of first time bound promotion to Homoeopathic medical officer, bridge course for homoeopathic graduates on analogy of ISM, regular supply of Homoeopathic medicine and promotion avenue of Homoeopathic medical officers.
Other issues including allotment of funds for proposed new Government Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital in J&K and bifurcation of AYUSH posts (NAM) according to their discipline of stream of profession qualification viz BHMS, BUMS and BAMS etc were also discussed.
The officers and officials present in the meeting were Dr Anil Kant Gupta, Deputy Director, Dr Rohit Gupta, Assistant Controller, Dr Rakesh Raina, Assistant Director (HQ) of ISM&H, Dr BR Dubb, Registrar J&K Board of Homoeopathic System of Medicine and Durga Dass (Accounts Officer of ISM).
