Dimple calls on Director Health Services

JAMMU, Oct 2:  Sunil Dimple president Jammu West Assembly Movement called on the newly appointed Director Health Service Jammu Dr S Gurjiet Singh Soodan and apprised him of the worst and deteriorating condition of the District Hospital Sarwal.
Dimple informed him that all and even patients with fever are referred to GMC Bakshi Nagar and other hospitals.
He told Director that all the patients have deserted from the Sarwal Hospital medical wards of the Sarwal Hospital.
He said due to lack of facilities and infrastructure there is huge decline in the OPD patients of the District Hospital Sarwal.
Dimple further alleged that the District Hospital has become a “first aid referral dispensary”, no adequate supply of the life saving drugs are available in the Sarwal hospital, shortage of doctors, surgeons, no blood bank, patients are not getting good response of treatment and all patients are being referred to other hospitals including GMC and out of the State.
He alleged but that present BJP-PDP Government has failed to maintain its status and even the name of “district hospital” on the hospital building and walls has been removed from the building, by the present Government This is the performance of the Medical facilities in the hospital surrounded by the heaps of garbage, which directly comes under the supervision of the Director Health Services.
Dimple urged the Director Health to look into the matter as why the patients are referred and see why the better facilities are not being provided in the district hospital Sarwal and what more is required to improve the services in the hospital. He also wanted to know why the patients instead of admitting in the hospital are referred to other hospitals.
He said hospital also lacks the staff and doctors are not available to treat the patients. He demanded more specialist doctors, surgeons for the Sarwal  hospital, opening of Blood Bank, installation of the CT scan machine, neuro and nephrology doctors in the hospital.
