JAMMU, Mar 2: The activists of Jammu West Assembly Movement held a protest demonstration demanding for dissolution of the Assembly and holding the fresh elections for a stable Government in the State.
Addressing the protesters, JWAM president Sunil Dimple said that all the development works in the State have come to a standstill.
Irate protestors also raised slogans and demanded resignations from all the BJP MLAs for the insult of the Jammu mandate and to open the way for the fresh Assembly elections.
Dimple demanded to stop the salaries of all the MLAs and cancel their pension benefits as the 10 months BJP-PDP Government was a disputed dispensation of unholy and unpopular alliance.
He also demanded withdrawal of the security Jammers, official ministerial, residential accommodations from the former ministers and all the MLAs as there is no chance of further Government formation.
He said without the Assembly elections the JMC, municipality, Panchayat elections will be of no use. So the Government should dissolve the Assembly and hold the fresh elections.
Others who joined the protest were Sham Saroop, Harbans Tondan, S Randhir Singh Bali, Vinod Suri, Dev Raj Padgotra, Mukesh Kumar, Kulwant Sharma, Raman Gupta, Bansi Lal, Ram Kumar Dass, Vipan, Viky, Bhanu Singh etc.
