JAMMU, Oct 31: The State Administrative Council (SAC) today ordered appointment of Dilbag Singh as full time Director General of Police (DGP) of J&K.
The SAC took the decision after approval conveyed to this effect by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

Dilbag will also hold additional charge of the posts of Director General of Police (Prisons) till further orders and Director Fire and Emergency Services till December 31, 2018.
Meanwhile, the Government has ordered transfer of VK Singh, Special Director General of Police (Headquarters) and his posting as Commandant General, Home Guards, Civil Defence and SDRF, J&K.
Singh will hold additional charge of the post of Director Fire and Emergency Services, J&K from January 1, 2019.
