SRINAGAR, Nov 12: Mohammad Dilawar Mir, general secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has tendered resignation from his post.
This comes in wake of a recent verdict against him by a Delhi court.
Accepting the offer of Mir to step down from the party post, the party president, Ms Mehbooba Mufti said it was a hard decision for her but given the fact that Mir had taken a moral call on the issue; he has set high moral standards of public probity.
Mehbooba expressed the hope that Mir who has sought a legal remedy against the verdict would soon come out clean on the issue.
