Charak asks workers to educate public

BISHNAH, Nov 12:  Former Minister and senior Congress leader Gulchain Singh Charak who is contesting election from Bishnah today asked the part workers and leaders to educate people about the programme and policies of the party besides achievements in last ten years in the State.
Addressing Congress workers’ meeting of Bishnah constituency at Party office here today Mr Charak discussed strategy and chalked out election campaign programme. The meeting was largely attended by BCC and Ward level workers besides Sarpanchs and Panchs of various areas.  The party activists and other speakers also raised some local issues and suggested some line and action. Former Jammu Chamber  president and Congress leader Y V Sharma was also present on the occasion. He was garlanded profusely and accorded warm welcome by the people of the constituency.
Mr Charak while addressing workers asked them to carry programme and policies of the party up to the masses and also highlight development works initiated by the Congress party and also coalition Government in the State in last ten years. He said that during Azad’s regime the State witnessed massive development and both the regions saw balanced development and distribution of funds.  Many new projects were taken up. He said five new Medical Colleges in Jammu and Kashmir is the major achievement and contribution of Congress Party.
Later, Charak convened public meetings at Wazire Chak, Partap Singh Pura and Bishnah town. He asked the people to support Congress party for seeking better development in the constituency.  Several other speakers including S Sohan Singh, Dr  Nand Lal, Puran Singh and Kimti Singh also addressed the meetings.
