RAJOURI, Aug 3: In preparation for the Shri Baba Budha Amarnath Yatra, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Traffic Police Jammu, Dr M Haseeb Mughal, conducted an on-site review at the Rajouri base camp today as the Yatra is scheduled to commence in three days.
Accompanied by Additional Superintendent of Traffic Police Mohammad Nawaz, DTI Rajouri Inspector Kapil Manhas, and other senior officers, Dr Mughal was briefed by the Rajouri-Poonch Traffic Police unit on traffic management plans.
Key arrangements discussed include convoy movement, parking at designated halt points and the deployment of traffic personnel at crucial locations, diversions, and busy intersections.
Dr Mughal engaged with Yatra organizers to ensure effective coordination and adherence to guidelines. He emphasized the importance of following all issued directives regarding cut-off timings and vehicle routes to facilitate a smooth pilgrimage.
The DIG assured the organizers that comprehensive measures are in place to manage traffic efficiently and ensure the Yatra proceeds without disruptions.
