JAMMU, Apr 11: DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range Ashkoor Ahmed Wani reviewed crime situation of Kathua district.
SSP Kathua Neeva Jain, SO to DIG SSP Rajneesh Pran, Dy.SP(Steno) Bishan Dass, Pvt Sec to DIG, all Supervisory officers, SHOs and Incharge Police Post of District Kathua were present in the meeting.
Ashkoor Ahmend Wani discussed cases of all police stations and issued necessary instructions to all supervisory officers and all SHOs for speedy disposal of pending cases and inquest proceedings.
Besides crime, DIG JKS Range also laid stress on border area security and laid stress on round the clock security of religious places keeping in view ongoing Navratra festival to prevent any untoward incident in the district.
DIG Ashkoor Ahmed Wani directed the officers to work hard to keep up the good image in the society and build up good police-public relation.
DIG JKS Range also held public meeting in District Police Lines (DPL) and gave patient hearing to the grievances.
He stressed upon building strong police public relations for rendering good policing.
During the meeting, the activities undertaken by police under “Civic Action Program (CAP)” like sports activities, cultural activities etc to promote youths in right directions and to keep them away from drug and other such menaces were also recalled.
DIG assured good policing and seek full co-operation from people in building the society crime free.
