DIG JSK Range reviews progress of 100 days Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan

JAMMU, May 21: A review meeting regarding the implementation and progress of the 100 days Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan in Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts was chaired by DIG-P JSK Range Shridhar Patil at Range Police Headquarters, Jammu.
The meeting was attended by the Senior Superintendents of Police of Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts, along with Additional Superintendents of Police, Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) and Station House Officers (SHOs) of the respective districts.
During the meeting, a comprehensive review of the activities undertaken under the 100 Days Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan was conducted. The progress achieved in curbing drug abuse and narcotics trafficking, awareness and outreach programmes, enforcement measures, and community participation initiatives was assessed in detail.
The officers presented district-wise updates on the action taken against drug peddlers and the preventive measures adopted to create awareness among the youth and the general public regarding the harmful effects of substance abuse.
The DIG-P emphasized the need for sustained and coordinated efforts by all stakeholders to achieve the objectives of the campaign. He directed the SSsP to intensify enforcement against narcotics networks, strengthen intelligence gathering, and enhance community engagement through awareness programmes in educational institutions and public forums. He also stressed the importance of adopting a proactive approach towards identifying vulnerable individuals and facilitating their rehabilitation through appropriate support mechanisms.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the commitment of Jammu, Samba, and Kathua Police to make the region drug-free and to ensure the successful implementation of the Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan through focused enforcement, public awareness, and community participation.
