Different organisations remember Jallianwala Bagh martyrs

JAMMU, Apr 13: Different organisations today remembered the martyrs of Jallianwala Bagh massacre on the 100th anniversary and paid them rich tributes.
In a function Congress paid rich tributes to those who laid down their lives for the freedom of the nation.
Paying floral tributes to those martyred on this day 100 years back in the worst ever brutality of British Army on Indians, JKPCC Chief Spokesperson, Ravinder Sharma saluted those brave people who sacrificed their lives to free the nation.
In another function, activists of Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) paid rich tributes to the martyrs of Jallianwala Bagh.
Paying tributes to the martyrs, JWAM president, Sunil Dimple also remembered the sacrifices of freedom fighters, Bhagat Singh, Raj Guru, Sukhdev and Udham Singh.
It is pertinent to mention here that Jallianwala Bagh massacre took place in Amritsar by the infamous General Dyre of UK.
Dimple strongly condemned UK for the massacre and said that people of India will never forgive UK for this heinous crime.
Desh Bhagat Yadgaar Committee in function held at Gurudwara Guru Nanak Dev Jee Chand Nagar remembered Jallianwala Bagh massacre where on April 13, 1919 when peaceful protesters along with Baisakhi pilgrims had gathered in Jallianwala Bagh, Amritsar were fired upon by troops of fifty British Indian Army soldiers commanded by Brigadier-General Reginald Dyer.
In this regard a one day seminar was organized at historical Gurudwara Guru Nanak Dev Jee Complex to pay rich tribute to the martyrs.
On the occasion Sensei Avneet Kour (Black Belt, 1st Dan) National Karate Player and Jasleen Kour, National Karate Player were given Award of Honour for winning many medals in Karate/Choi Kwang Do for J&K.
Award of Honour was given to Comrade Sawroop Singh, Comrade Pritam Singh, Comrade Atamjeet Singh in lieu to their dedication towards humanity and mankind.
