Different organisations celebrate Republic Day, Basant Panchmi

JAMMU, Jan 25: Different organisations here today celebrated Republic Day and Basant Panchmi with traditional fervour.
Chenab Valley Power Projects Pvt Ltd (CVPPPL) celebrated the 74th Republic Day with mentally challenged children of Muskan (Home for Mentally Challenged Children), Channi Rama, Jammu. A washing machine, inverter, plastic chairs, toys and milk packets were donated to Muskan. Hasan Nadeem, Managing Director and ladies of CVPPPL Ladies Welfare Club under the leadership of Ursila Nadeem distributed sweets among the children.
On the occasion of 74th Republic Day, Akhil Bhartiya Vidhyarti Parishad (ABVP) unit of Jammu University (JU) organised a Mahatiranga rally which started from flag post to Vikram Chowk. JU Vice Chancellor, Prof. Umesh Rai hoisted the National Flag
On Republic Day the NSS unit of K.C College of Education organized an essay writing competition on topic ‘Jan Bhagidari (Common Peoples’ Participation): the Cornerstone of Democracy’ keeping in view the theme of India’s 74th Republic day. This was followed by a rally during which the students raised patriotic slogans.
Birla Open Minds International School, Jammu celebrated 74th Republic Day with great patriotic zeal and fervour. Principal of the School, Aparana Kohli addressed the teachers and students wherein she highlighted the importance of the Constitution and said that we as Indians are fortunate to have one of the largest Constitutions of the world.
International Delhi Public School Akhnoor celebrated 74th Republic Day with patriotic fervour and zeal. Teaching faculty, officers, staff and students of the University of Jammu were present on the occasion. S.K Sharma, Chairman IDPS Akhnoor along with Principal KCS Mehta, Director Dheeraj Sharma, Vice Principal Vinay Khajuria were present on the occasion and special guest, Rabia Khajuria unfurled the National Flag.
The Republic Day was celebrated with fervour and enthusiasm by Stephens International Public School. A special morning assembly was presented by the students of class 4. Dances, melodious songs, Nukkad Natak and poems left everyone spellbound. Eloquent speech emphasising the importance of Constitution and our rights and duties was also presented. Addressing the gathering, Director of the School, Satvinder Saini; Chairman Dr. Kamal Saini, IGP (Retd.) and Trustee Kunal Saini extended Republic Day wishes.
United Public School, Channi Himmat celebrated the Republic Day in a programme organised by the United Public Educational Trust, Channing Himmat. Students presented cultural items. School Principal, Rajni Sharma asked the students to spread message of brotherhood, peace and harmony across the country.
Dogra Higher Secondary School Shastri Nagar, Jammu celebrated 74h Republic Day with great patriotic fervour and gaiety. National Anthem was presented by staff members of the School. Principal of the School Devinder Kour highlighted the significance of Republic Day and stressed students and staff to work hard for achieving goals of education. The students took a pledge to keep the city clean and green.
Shiv Shakti Public School Akhnoor Devipur celebrated 74th Republic day on theme ‘Jan Bhagidari’ and hoisted the National Flag. Poster making, dance and fancy dress competitions were also organised. Principal Tripta Devi addressed the students and explained the importance of Indian Constitution and Republic Day.
Management, Principal, staff and students of Rich Harvest School celebrated Republic Day and Basant Panchmi with enthusiasm. Rich tributes were paid to freedom fighters through lectures, patriotic songs and poems. Floral tributes were paid to Goddess Saraswati on the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchmi. School Principal, Anita Bhatia motivated the students to live by the ideals of the selfless freedom fighters who attained freedom at a very high cost so that India could become a Republic after bidding adieu to British rule.
Vishwa Bharati Public Higher Secondary School Akalpur Morh, Jammu celebrated 74th Republic Day with patriotic fervour and gaiety. As the Basant Panchami is also coinciding with Republic Day, it was also celebrated in the school by chanting Sarasvati Vandana. School Principal Annapurna Koul motivated students to work hard and become good citizens of the country.
On Republic Day a special assembly was held at JKMS. The session commenced with a patriotic song was followed by a speech on the preamble of the Constitution by two teachers of the school, Rashmi Bhat and Smriti Sharma on topic ‘Every Vote Matters’. The students sung patriotic songs.
On Republic Day, a grand celebration was held at Doon International School where the students presented a mesmerizing patriotic and cultural programme depicting nationhood. The programme began with the hoisting of National Flag by Principal Dr. Vikesh Kaur. School Chairman G.N Tantray, Vice Chairman M.A Tantray and others were also present on the occasion.
Heritage School, Jammu celebrated Republic Day and Basant Panchmi. Students recited Saraswati Vandana. Principal Akash Pradhan motivated the students to set big goals and put dedicated efforts for a promising and flourishing human harvest obeying all laws and orders according to our Constitution.
Dewan Devi Playway/Hr. Sec. School celebrated Republic Day by highlighting unity and diversity of India. Principal of the School motivated the students to work hard and become responsible citizens of the country.
Sri Guru Gobind Singh Public Hr. Sec. School Kunjwani celebrated 74th Republic Day. Gurtaj Singh, Principal of the School was guest of honour and he made the students aware about importance of the day. The students took an oath to make their country free from corruption.
Mother Care Kid’s Club School, Peermitha, Jammu celebrated 74th Republic Day. The ceremony began with hoisting of the National Flag by Principal Shalini Mahajan after which National Anthem was recited by students and staff. Cultural items like dance and singing of patriotic songs were also presented.
