JAMMU, Jan 9: A Diabetes screening camp was inaugurated today by Excise Commissioner, J&K Government, Talat Parvez Rohella.
The camp was organized by Medanta – The Medicity, Gurgaon and inaugurated in the presence of Deputy Excise Commissioner, Executive, Jammu, Amarjeet Singh and other officers of Excise Department.
A team of doctors headed by Dr Arvind Sharma screened 150 officials of the Excise Department. Tests for Blood Sugar and ECG were carried out on the spot.
The camp was organized to impart awareness about health hazards that incure due to the hectic and stressful lifestyle. The camp was supervised by team Medanta under the guidance of Sudharshan Sharma and Ashutosh Gupta.
Charanjeet Singh, president, Wine Traders’ Association along with other members of the association also attended the camp.
