JAMMU, Mar 8: A new Diabetes care centre under the name and style “Jammu Diabetes, Thyroid & Metabolic (Obesity) Care Centre” was inaugurated here today at Gandhi Nagar.
The centre was thrown open by Dr JK Sharma, ex-Director Health Services, Jammu in presence of prominent citizens.
The Centre will provide the best of diagnostic and scientific treatment for metabolic diseases. This will take care of lot of uncontrolled patients of Diabetes and Thyroid, which later on lead to lot of morbidity and mortality.
Since Diabetes is the major cause of heart attack, Renal failure, blindness and amputations and the prevalence of Diabetes is around 16% in our city, so this Centre will benefit the patients at large.
Dr Raj Kumar Sharma, renowned Senior Consultant, Diabetologist and Physician Specialist shall be rendering his consultation daily (9 am-12 pm).
