JAMMU, July 29: The Union Minister of Education, Dharmendra Pradhan, virtually inaugurated four newly constructed buildings of the Central University of Jammu today.
The ceremony was held in the presence of Jayant Chaudhary, Union Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (Independent Charge), and Sukanta Majumdar, Minister of State, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, GoI.
Prof Sanjeev Jain, Vice Chancellor of Central University of Jammu, was present at the venue and witnessed the virtual inauguration ceremony.
The inaugurated buildings are Aryabhatta Bhawan – School of Basic and Applied Sciences, Chanakya Bhawan – Library cum administration building, Shailputri Bhawan – 500-bedded girls’ hostel and Brig Rajinder Singh, MVC Bhawan – 500-bedded boys’ hostel. The inauguration was live streamed at the University auditorium, where it was attended by Prof Yashwant Singh, Registrar, along with Deans, Directors, Heads of Departments, administrative officers and other university staff.
