Dharmarth Trust Council discusses Janamashatmi arrangements

JAMMU, July 24: In a meeting here today, J&K Dharmarth Trust Council discussed the arrangements for the forthcoming Shree Krishan Janamashatmi festival falling on September 2.
The meeting was chaired by Council President, B.R Kundal wherein it was decided that all the temples of the Trust located in Jammu as well as in Kashmir, especially those dedicated to Lord Shree Krishana shall be beautifully lit and decorated.
Bhajan Sandhaya and Satsang will be held in these temples till midnight on September 2 thereafter Pooja-Aarti will be performed and Parshad will be distributed among the devotees.
Main function shall be organised at historic Shree Raghunath Ji temple in Jammu, from where Royal chariot after its Pooja, Archana shall lead the Jhankies which will pass through various bazaars of the city to finally culminate at Shree Raghunath Ji temple.
Before departure of the chariot, Murties of Radha Krishan with due devotion shall be placed on the chariot for which function shall be held in the premises of Shree Raghunath Ji Temple.
In the evening, Bhajan Sandhaya by the ‘Art of Living Society’ and Iskon will be held and will continue till midnight after which Pooja Archna in Shree Radha Krishan Ji temple within Raghunath Ji Temple complex shall be held and Parshad amongst the devotees will be distributed.
In Srinagar main function shall be held in Shree Gadhadhar Ji temple located in the Old Secretariat complex.
The organisers have appealed the devotees to visit the temples and participate in various activities and seek blessings of Lord Krishana.
Organisers have also appealed to the authorities concerned to take care of security arrangements and in maintaining cleanliness around the temples.
