Dharmarth Trust celebrates birthday of Dr Karan Singh

JAMMU, Mar 10: The management and officials of J&K Dharmarth Trust celebrated birthday of Dr Karan Singh, a former Member Parliament, a renowned statesman, an eminent educationist and Chairman Trustee of the Dharmarth Trust with great enthusiasm.
In this connection, a function was organised by the Trust in which Pooja followed by Hawan was performed by the priests of Shree Raghunathji Temple.
On the occasion, Mubarak Singh, president of the Trust; Dr Sat Pal, Secretary; Varinder Singh, additional secretary; Goverdhan Singh, a retired DySP, Member of the Dharmarth Trust Council participated in the Pooja and offered Aahutis in the Hawan. Later, Prasad was distributed among the participants.
Ranvijay Singh, Trustee of J&K Dharmarth Trust paid obeisance at historical Shri Raghunathji Temple and prayed for the longevity of Dr Karan Singh and also prayed for the peace and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir. He said it is really a blessing for the people of J&K that a philanthropic personality like Dr Karan Singh is leading over 100 years old Dharmarth Trust with ultimate dynamism and vibrancy.
Later, Ranvijay Singh also went around the temple complex and took stock of the ongoing works and passed necessary directions to the management.  He appealed to the staff and Pujaris of Raghunath ji Temple to upkeep the temple in exemplary manner so that good message goes to the people of the country through pilgrims visiting the Raghunath Temple.
Mubarak Singh, President of the Trust, also prayed for the longevity of the Chairman of the Trust and highlighted his eminence as acknowledged scholar of great fame who had contributed immensely in social work at the state (Erstwhile J&K) as well as national arena uplifting the underprivileged and enlightening masses on varied subjects including religion, amity, camaraderie and pluralistic ethos existing in Indian sub continent since ages. He wished him good health and well contented life ahead.
