JAMMU, Mar 10: A deputation of Sarpanchs from Havelli area of Poonch district today called on Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan, at Civil Secretariat.
The delegation led by former MLC, Pardeep Sharma and comprising Chairperson Block Development Council, Sathra, Faridi Bi and Sarpanchs including Mohd Aslam, M Rashid, Mohd Ashraf, Munir A and Abdul Hamid, projected various development issues and demands of the Panchayats of Havelli area of Poonch district.
Advisor Khan, while interacting with the members of the deputation, reiterated that the Government is making dedicated efforts for strengthening the Panchayats in J&K to ensure effective development at the grass root level.
He assured the deputation that all issues projected by them regarding development of Panchayats in their area would be taken up with appropriate quarters for early redressal.
