DGP sanctions special welfare relief

JAMMU, Feb 4: Continuing with its welfare initiatives to provide financial assistance to the NoKs of deceased and martyred police personnel and SPOs, the Director General of Police, J&K, Dilbag Singh has sanctioned special welfare relief and relief of rupees forty eight lakh under three different orders of PHQ.
Rupees twenty two lakh has been sanctioned in favour of NoKs of martyred ASI Mohd Ashraf Dar, who attained martyrdom in a terrorist attack on 22.12.2021. He has also sanctioned rupees twenty two lakh in favour of NoKs of deceased SgCt Kuldep Raj who passed away due to illness while in service.
Similarly, Rs 6 lakh has been sanctioned in favour of NoKs of deceased SPO Joginder Kumar who passed away due to illness during the course of his engagement with Jammu and Kashmir Police. The amount has been sanctioned out of the Contributory Welfare fund.
