DGP sanctions retirement gift in favour of 106 cops

JAMMU, May 30: As a token of appreciation for their services in various capacities to the department, the Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh has sanctioned retirement gift of Rs 79.50 lakh in favour of 106 police personnel of J&K Police who are retiring from service tomorrow after attaining superannuation or taking voluntary retirement.
The gift of Rs 75,000 each has been sanctioned out of Contributory Police Welfare Fund on their superannuation or voluntarily retirement.
Order has been issued for grant of retirement gift in favour of 3 Gazetted Officers, 69 Non-Gazetted officers, 26 lower subordinates and 8 Followers. The personnel belonged to different units and wings of the department.
Retirement gift at a uniform rate of Rs 75,000 is sanctioned to each police personnel from the Contributory Police Welfare Fund (CPWF) at the time of his/her retirement. The gift serves as a token of appreciation for his/her services rendered to the department.
