DGP reviews security situation in south Kashmir

SRINAGAR: Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh on Tuesday reviewed the security situation, including measures put in place for safe conduct of Amarnath yatra, in south Kashmir.

A police spokesperson said that to review the law & order and security scenario, Singh on Tuesday visited south Kashmir districts of Anantnag, Shopian, Pulwama and Kulgam.

During his visit, the DGP also reviewed the security measures related to the ongoing pilgrimage of Amarnath Yatra.

The DGP visited the Shopian, Anantnag, Awantipora and Pulwama districts of south Kashmir, where he held security review meetings with the senior jurisdictional Police officers at all district headquarters. (AGENCIES)
