JAMMU, June 14: Director General Fire and Emergency Services, R S Sodhi visited Fire Services Headquarters Jammu and interacted with Jawans and officers there.
Mr Sodhi was received by Er R T Dubey, Joint Director Fire and Emergency Services and other senior officers.
Mr Dubey briefed him about the functioning of the Fire Services in the Jammu region.
Mr Sodhi while interacting with the officers and jawans said that their role is more significant during the emergencies like natural calamites. He said the jawans of fire services have to be always alert and dedicated and recalled their role during last year floods in the State.
He said with the adaptation of latest technology and dedication of brave men of the Fire Services, it has proved very effective in minimizing the losses during natural calamities and people have gained lot of trust and faith in the organization. “We have to work with more dedication and devotion so that this trust is not lost”, he added.
Mr Sodhi was also presented a guard of honour on the occasion.
