Devotees take dip in Ganga on Kartik Purnima

DEHRADUN, Nov 25:
Devotees in large numbers converged on the Ganga ghats in Haridwar including the famous Har ki Pairi to take holy dip in the river on the occasion of Kartik Purnima.
The mass ritual bath is held on the banks of the river every year on the full moon night or the 15th day of the month of Kartik as per the Hindu calendar.
Devotees began thronging the ghats in the wee hours for the bath and the ritual continued through the day.
Besides seeking the blessings of the holy Ganga river, devotees also worshipped Lord Vishnu after the bath. (PTI)
