Devolution of Power

Sir,
For the welfare of the people in UT of Jammu & Kashmir the present Govt in the centre has launched certain measures one after the other after resuming power in 2019. Annuling of Article 370 has brought some relief to the people living here. Now Jammu and Kashmir is a Union Territory and all Central Laws govern the land. Ladakh is now separate UT. Space for progress and development stands now affirmed to each and every individual. It is difficult to clean and correct the rotten system that is deeply rooted for many decades now. In this connection Lt Governor is afoot in clearing the mess. Devolution of power is essential so far as Indian democracy is concerned. In the erstwhile State of Jammu and Kashmir, the people stood deprived and duped. Strengthening democracy at a grass root level helps in am lorating the fate of the people at the village level. The present dispensation has timely taken the right decision and conducted Panchayats and local bodies elections. Now our Govt is determined to hold DDC elections and in this connection necessary exercise has started.
The people are once again given a chance to elect their representatives who will fight for their welfare. It is pertinent to mention here that men of integrity and honesty should be given vote so so that aspirations of people are met and their problems mitigated. Devolution of power can solve basic demands of the people at the grassroot level. It will empower common man who could not approach MLA or Minister for the redressal of his grievance earlier. Devolution of power will help in eradicating corruption and nepotism.
