JAMMU, Feb 11: A camp for the distribution of ‘Prosthetic Aid’ by Indian Oil Corporation under its CSR Initiiative free of cost distribution of aids and assistive devices to specially abled persons with Disabilities was inaugurated at J&K Samaj Kalyan kendra today.
Dr Bharat Bhushan, Director Social Welfare Jammu was the chief guest and Ranbireshwar Singh Jamwal was the special guest. Dr Bhushan, in his address, appreciated the initiative of Indian Oil Corporation for providing the much needed instruments and aids to the specially abled persons.
The District Social Welfare Officer Jammu appealed to other organisations and Corporations /MNCs to come forward and help the specially abled persons in this noble cause.
Total of 238 beneficiaries were registered for the camp whic included electronic wheel chairs, Special mobiles, walking sticks etc which were distributed among the specially abled persons.
