Developmental process, anti terror operations to dominate BJP’s WC meet

JAMMU, Feb 24: The developmental process launched by Narendra Modi led BJP Government at Centre for J&K Union Territory (UT) will dominate the political resolution of the party in its two -days office bearers and Working Committee meeting to be held at holy township of Katra in Reasi district on March 6 and 7.
The office bearers meeting will be held on March 6 which will be followed by Working Committee meeting next day.
Party sources said that all the State and UT units of BJP were asked to complete their working committee and office bearers meeting before March 15 in the party’s recently held national office bearers, State presidents and general secretaries meeting held at New Delhi.
The BJP political resolution will also highlight the remarkable achievements of security forces and police in anti terrorism operation in J&K since the abrogation of Article 370 and 35 A on August 5, 2019. The resolution will put on record their remarkable achievements and sacrifices to rid the J&K of Pak sponsored gun culture, party sources said.
Sources said the transparency brought in the administration and in functioning of Government offices after the abrogation of special status of J&K will also be highlighted in the resolution besides pointing out the other shortcomings if any in this regard. The resolution will also highlight the more steps needed to be taken in overcoming the shortcomings, sources added.
The resolution will also underline the successful and incident free conduct of District Development Council (DDC) elections for the first time in J&K and strengthening of three -tier grass root level democratic structure in the UT by Modi Government.
It will throw light on the achievements of last year and set agenda for the next year.
The BJP discussed the arrangements of two- day programme in the senior office bearers meeting here, today held under the chairmanship of party president, Ravinder Raina.
It may be recalled that BJP holds the office bearers’ and Working Committee meetings of party at regular intervals to have a detailed review of its ongoing development & political policies, implementation of public welfare schemes, formulation of important strategies and to discuss the forthcoming party programs.
The meeting among others was attended by J&K BJP general secretary (Org.), Ashok Kaul, former MLC & party general secretary, Vibodh Gupta, party general secretary and former Minister, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, former Minister & BJP Headquarter Incharge, Priya Sethi, former Minister, Ajay Nanda, former MLA, Rajeev Sharma, secretary, Arvind Gupta, chief spokesperson, Sunil Sethi and other senior party leaders.
Raina prompted the party leaders to discuss all the relevant issues concerning the conduct of the successful and fruitful meeting at Katra.
Ashok Kaul said that the office bearers’ and Working Committee meetings of party provide the party men with an opportunity to introspect its present working as well as a tool to effectively strategize its future working. He asked for the formation of various committees which will be given different tasks to ensure a hassle-free conduct of the meet.
The meeting saw the threadbare discussions on various issues right from the discussion on the points to be suggested and included in the proposed resolution to be adopted by the party to the various developmental and political issues.
