JAMMU, Dec 27: Aam Aadmi Party leader and vice-president of Jammu province, Amit Kapoor today alleged that under the present Government, development in Jammu and Kashmir has come to a standstill and people are suffering on all fronts.
He claimed that only Aam Aadmi Party can solve all the problems of the people in Jammu and Kashmir.
While talking to media persons, here today, Kapoor said the claims made by the BJP leadership about huge development in Jammu and Kashmir were contrary to the ground reality as people are facing lack of infrastructure and facilities under the current crippled system in the UT, a puppet of the BJP Government at the Centre.
He said that the present Government was adopting a discriminatory attitude towards the common people, hearing only a few selected people, while giving step-motherly treatment to all others. He alleged that the people sitting in the corridors of power have no idea about the ground reality and hence they have completely failed to solve the problems of the people.
Amit Kapoor alleged that the BJP leadership was relying on a divisive agenda to win elections, but the Aam Aadmi Party never believed in dividing people for electoral gains as it placed unwavering emphasis on secularism and communal harmony at all levels.
He said that only the Aam Aadmi Party can solve the problems of the people and for this the party cadre will have to further strengthen the party’s base at the grassroots level. He called upon the people to extend their full cooperation to the Aam Aadmi Party so that their problems could be solved.
Amit Kapoor also demanded that the statehood of Jammu and Kashmir should be restored before the Assembly elections as it is necessary to provide justice to the people.
