JAMMU, Oct 20: Devans Modern Breweries Limited has won the prestigious Gold Awards for its beers in the Spiritz Selection Awards 2020 for blind tasting and packaging held at New Delhi by SPIRITZ, a leading liquor magazine in the country which also organizes liquor related events.
The awards were adjudicated by a jury comprising of eminent personalities in the liquor field some of whom had previously held major positions in international companies, entrepreneurs and leading experts in the area.
However, in order to be natural, fair and impartial, none of the jury members was presently working with or associated with any liquor or beer companies.
The awards were announced in a virtual event organized by SPIRITZ and telecast through Youtube.
Blind Tasting Competition has been organized for the very first time in the country and was done as per international standards. The bottles were completely wrapped and hidden in paper bags to hide the brands and beer was served to the jury members to judge the brands based on various parameters such as taste, flavour, aroma, etc.
Devans bagged awards for blind tasting and packaging in all three categories of beer i.e Gold Award in premium ‘Lager Beer less than 5 per cent alcohol category’ for its Kotsberg Pils Beer, Gold Award in ‘Lager beer 5 per cent to 8 per cent alcohol category’ for its recently revamped Godfather The Legendary Strong Beer.
Devans also bagged the Silver Award for blind tasting and packaging in the ‘Wheat Beer Category’ for its prestigious Six Fields Blanche White Beer, which is a Belgian style white beer and was launched just last year in selected cities.
Devans Modern Breweries complete e60 years in the business this year and os one of the leading companies in the country known for its complete focus on quality.
