Dev works going on at snail’s pace: Independent Councilors

JAMMU, Mar 11: The Independent Councilors of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) have alleged that no development work has taken place in their Wards.
Addressing a press conference here today Ashok Manhas, JMC Councilor of Ward number 59 said there is no change in the working of sanitation wing of the JMC since the year 2005.
He further said that JMC developmental works are going on at snail pace and the Mayor, Chander Mohan Gupta is not showing any seriousness towards this.

“Resolutions are passed in the General House Meetings of JMC but no work is done on these resolutions,” he claimed.
Manhas also said though they have passed a resolution of time bound completion of development works yet the authorities should fail to complete the developmental works in time.
The Independent Councilors also expressed concern over the need of face masks for the Safai Karamcharis of JMC as they have to work in the most infected and most dirty places of the city.
Anu Bali, Sucha Singh, Amit Gupta and others were also present in the press conference.
