JAMMU, Mar 1: A deputation of JKUT Unaided Recognised Private Schools, called on the Chief Secretary J&K, Atal Dulloo, in his officer chambers in Civil Secretariat , Jammu and submitted a memorandum highlighting several issues and demands.
The deputation was led by president of the private schools, Ram Murti Sharma, who was accompanied by Ashok K Magotra, Rajeev Slathia and Krishan Singh.
The deputation drew Chief Secretary’s attention towards the points pertaining to School Education Department, JKBOSE and FFRC, which are adversely affecting the working of the low budget Private Schools.
Atal Dulloo gave a patient hearing and assured the deputation to redress the genuine problems to enable the Private school to maintain high standard of education.
The delegation said that some of the suo moto decisions of the authorities without taking stakeholders into confidence were adversely affecting the very survival of the Low Budget Private Schools as compared to the Big Schools functioning under CBSE. “Even the FFRC is kind enough to sanction handsome monthly fee and Annual charges whereas the Low Budget private schools affiliated with JK BOSE are not sanctioned hike in monthly fees and Annual charges which are must for the very survival of these schools,” they explained.
