JAMMU, Aug 21: A deputation of Non Gazetted Police Pensioners Welfare Forum led by Ajit Singh, Forum Chairman met SSP Jammu and highlighted their issues.
The deputation said that cases of retired cops who are in distress or suffering from some disease are pending for clearance at PHQ for 2-3 months while as per rule such cases are expedited within a week.
The deputation members also said that some retired cops have even died waiting for their cases to be cleared and their families are disturbed.
They requested that such cases may be cleared soon for the benefit of retired cops.
The SSP gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured that he will look into the matter for early resolution.
Ravinder Sharma, Ganpat, Hindpal, Parlhad Singh, Kuldeep Singh and others were also present in the deputation.
