JAMMU, Aug 2: Led by Guru Gautam Rishi, national president Akhil Bhartya Gurukul, Gaushala Research Foundation India, a deputation met Dr Shushil Sharma, Veterinary Officer Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) here today and submitted a memorandum.
The memorandum contained various issues related to stray animals and concern was shown about cows being illegally abandoned on roads by dairy farm owners and in this regard some identified areas were pin pointed.
The deputation also raised the issue of welfare of cows and assured to assist JMC in this regard.
The Veterinary Officer gave a patience hearing and assured the deputation to depute a team at the earliest to take action against those deserting their cows.
Those present in the deputation were Rajnder Parsad Kakkar, J&K president Gaushala Research Foundation India; P.S Chandel, president Legal Cell J&K of the organization; Neeraj Puri, BJP Councillor; Sunil Sharma, national executive member and Sanjay Gupta, district president.
