IT Deptt conducts 3 more surveys

JAMMU, Mar 7: Continuing verification of huge cash deposits made by the traders in old currency following demonetization decision, Income Tax Department today carried out surveys in the premises of three businessmen.
Official sources said that surveys were conducted in the business establishment of a fertilizer dealer at Laswara in Bishnah tehsil and on wholesale dealers of readymade garments and blankets in City Chowk and Paharian Mohalla in the heart of Jammu city.
During the surveys Income Tax Department sleuths laid hands on incriminating documents and the same will be put to scrutiny during next few days. “More surveys are on the cards on the basis of the data obtained from the banks regarding huge cash deposits post-demonetization”, sources said.
