Delimitation report not fair, politically motivated: Patil

JAMMU, May 6: Senior All India Congress Committee (AICC) leader Incharge Jammu and Kashmir  affairs of the party, Rajni Patil (MP) today reviewed the current political situation with senior leaders of the party during her two days stay here.
During her stay she had detailed deliberations with the senior leaders and interaction with individual leaders including PCC functionaries, DCC presidents, former ministers and legislators, heads of frontal wings and other senior functionaries from entire Jammu province.
The leaders briefed Patil about the ground situation, especially with regard to the delimitation which has been widely opposed by the majority areas because the Commission has not followed the basic norms of delimitation and ignored the ground situations of topography, connectivity, population, continuity etc.
She was apprised about the resentment amongst people în most areas who believe the report is highly biased and politically motivated.
Patil expressed dismay that the delimitation report is not fair and politically motivated, a’ there is large scale resentment amongst the people of various regions and sub divisions.
She had detailed over view of the party affairs and the measures needed to further strengthen the party up to grass root levels. Leaders from different areas and walks met Patil during her stay here.
Later in the afternoon, Patil left for Srinagar alongwith JKPCC chief GA Mir. She will hold meetings with the senior party functionaries of Kashmir and return to the Union capital on Saturday.
