UDHAMPUR, Aug 1: A deputation of hundred of Rathain residents led by Aman Kalsotra, a prominent social activist and Director of Sky High India, a social organization, today met Pawan Kumar Gupta, MLA Udhampur, with their grievances related to construction of much delayed Mahatma Gandhi Marg and other demands related to the area.
Kalsotra apprised Pawan Kumar Gupta about grievances of Rathian residents they were facing due to delay in construction of Mahatma Gandhi Marg. He said the area is hardly two kilometers from district headquarter and a four way National Highway also passes through the area. Apart from this many important land marks and Government schools touch this road but the area is totally deprived from the basic necessities and neglected by all previous Governments as for as development is concerned.
While interacting with the deputation, Gupta issued on spot instruction to Executive Engineer PWD for early tendering of Mahatma Gandhi Marg Road touching DPS so that the phase of work may be started in time to provide relief to the residents of this area.
Deputation also apprised Gupta about problems related to water and electricity and starting of third phase of transformer which is installed with only two working phase with third being defunct due to shortage of power cable. Gupta also instructed the concerned officers to solve their problems on priority.
